So, Liz and I were at a friend’s home and she said that she and her husband had gotten memory foam and have slept well ever since. I am skeptical of most claims, so I have ignored my wife’s longing stares as we have visited Costco the last couple of times and we happened down the aisle that carried the boxed mattress toppers made of the spongy material.
That is, of course until two nights ago… I caved. And not one to voice all of my negative thoughts, I held inside my belief that I needed a “firm” mattress and avoided sharing that I figured that this memory foam thing would be returning to the store in just a few short days. Here I am sitting upon my perfectly formed 3-inch thick butt-imprinted memory foam bed topper for the second night… ready to give it another go. Oh yeah, last night’s sleep? I don’t remember- I fell asleep as soon as my skin was caressed lovingly into what I will call the wonderment of “foam-slumber” in under 3 seconds. nighty nigh… zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…

Mark says no. He doesn’t even have to sleep on it. Well, for now at least. Maybe God’s sense of humor. He’ll finally cave and then the same day or week, God will bless us with the release we’ve been praying for! HA!
